10 June 2021 - EQ iSearch, a renowned Indian analysis agency, has released the most recent data on solar panels and inverters import in India for the first quarter of 2021. SofarSolar ranked first in the single-phase inverter market, accounting for 26.9% of the market shares, and ranked third in the string and central inverter category, accounting for 12.5% of the market share. These results show the consolidated and leading position of SofarSolar in various market segments in the country.
Since 2015, SOFARSOLAR has developed a long-lasting strategy involving solid market understanding and strong R&D investment to adapt to the local power grid structure, PV policy and market environment, allowing entrance to the market as well as organic and rapid growth. In 2021, the PV market in India has shown a downward trend due to the impact of COVID-19 and the global economic environment, but thanks to continuous technological and innovation efforts in product development, SofarSolar has managed to continue to beat market records, not only providing customers with stable and reliable PV and energy storage products, further consolidating its position as the market leader.
Mr. Brijesh Prajapati, Head of SofarSolar India, confirmed that SofarSolar will continue to play a leading role in the PV market in 2021 and beyond, focusing on three major aspects: stable and reliable products; high customer recognition; and local customer and partner services.
In order to be close to its customers and partners, SofarSolar has developed a local strategy in India and set up a full marketing and service system that includes a supporting warehousing centre, a sales centre and an after-sales service centre, enabling the company to provide optimal services to its partners and product users.
At the same time, SofarSolar’s focus on R&D has both facilitated the acquisition of the required certificates from the Indian Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)for the PV grid connected inverters and allowed the company to overcome the challenges in energy storage technology. SofarSolar’s energy storage inverters have obtained the BIS certification (R-41156892) in 2020, laying a solid foundation for the company to enter and solidify its position in the energy storage market as well, thereby strengthening cooperation with local partners.
Since 2015, SofarSolar has been honoured as "Indian Best Inverter Company" and "Top Brand Roof Inverter" by renowned Indian agencies, and has become a popular household name and choice of inverter brand in India. Mr Prajapati added that, in the future, SofarSolar will continue to play a major role in the Indian market, providing innovative PV and energy storage solutions, enabling more people to enjoy the benefits of clean energy.
